Dr. Ashleigh Stelzer-Chilton

Dr. Stelzer-Chilton joined the Seymour Health Centre in 2008. She was born in Zimbabwe and immigrated to Canada in 1981. Her studies have been in Canada and France. She has worked in Germany, and volunteered extensively in France, South Africa and in the United States. She went into medicine as a result of her work with HIV orphans in Cape Town. She did her medical school at McMaster University and her residency at the University of Toronto – at which time she did rotations in Tanzania and Uganda. She worked in a walk-in-clinic in Toronto for several years before moving to Vancouver in 2008. In 2014 she became a Peer Assessor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. She and her husband have 2 children. Her main interests include travel, camping and interior design.
